Underfloor heating, laid and finished with your floor

We lay underfloor heating during your renovation or in the floor you already have: milled into the screed, on the subfloor under self-levelling compound, or as a dry system on a timber floor. We connect the manifold to the boiler, give you a laying plan and finish the floor on top with tiles, a plank floor or another finish. You get a detailed offer first.

What we take on

How we lay underfloor heating

The method depends on the floor you have. Our own people and subcontractors we trust do the heating, the connection and the floor on top. Items with a link have a page of their own.

Milling into the existing screed

On a concrete or screed floor we mill channels, lay the pipes in them and close them with a special mortar.

Pipes on the subfloor

Where milling is not possible or not wanted: pipes on the existing subfloor, covered with self-levelling compound.

Dry system on a timber floor

On a wooden subfloor the pipes go into EPS plates. The floor level goes up unless the subfloor is changed.

Electric underfloor heating

Heating mats or cables for a smaller room such as a bathroom, or as extra heat.

Manifold and boiler connection

Connected to the central heating boiler through a manifold, and prepared for a heat pump if you plan one.

Zones and thermostats

A thermostat per room or zone, and control from a phone app when the house has internet.

Laying plan

A drawing of where the pipes run, for later maintenance or renovation.

The floor on top

Tiles, a plank floor or another floor finish laid over the heated floor.

Why people choose us

What you can count on

  • Heating and floor in one team

Milling, pipework, the boiler connection and the floor finish in one planning. You do not have to coordinate separate trades.

  • A laying plan for your floor

You get a drawing of where the pipes run. You will want it for maintenance or a later renovation.

  • A clean site every day

Milling makes dust, so we use tools that keep it down, and the working area is cleaned before we leave each day.

  • One-year warranty

We give a one-year warranty on our work, and we are insured against damage.

Questions

Before you start

Which method suits my floor?

That depends on the subfloor. On concrete or screed we mill channels into it, or lay the pipes on top under self-levelling compound. On a timber floor we use a dry system with EPS plates. Electric mats suit a smaller room such as a bathroom. We check your floor when we come to look.

Do you have to break out my existing floor?

Not always. On a screed floor we can mill the channels into the existing screed, so the floor stays in place.

Does it work with my boiler, or with a heat pump later?

Yes. The methods we use work with a gas boiler. If you plan a heat pump, we can prepare the connection while we lay the heating; with a heat pump the floor can also cool in summer. The heat pump itself is installed by a heat pump technician.

Can I set each room separately?

Yes. Each room or zone gets its own thermostat, and you can control it from a phone app when the house has internet.

Do you also finish the floor?

Yes. We lay the floor on top: tiles, a plank floor or another finish. The offer lists what we supply and what, if anything, you buy yourself.

I live in an apartment. What about the VvE?

Check your VvE's rules for floors before the work starts; arranging that is up to you. We can tell you what the work involves, so you can check it with them.

Do I get a warranty?

Yes, a one-year warranty on our work. We are also insured against damage during the work.

Where do you work?

We are based in Zaandam and lay underfloor heating in Amsterdam, Haarlem and across North Holland, and further afield in the Netherlands.
